HDPE reducer is commonly used for the connection of two different diameter pipelines, by reduce the pipe size from a larger to a smaller bore (inner diameter). Alternatively, reducer may refer to any fitting which causes a change in pipe diameter. This change may be intended to meet hydraulic flow requirements of the system or adapt to existing piping of a different size. The length of the reduction is usually equal to the average of the larger and smaller pipe diameters.

SUNPLAST can offer HDPE butt fusion reducer in diameters ranging from 50mm to 800mm in SDR11 & SDR17. The HDPE pipe reducer is made of virgin PE100 material, and can fully comply to ISO4427-3,EN12201-3, AS/NZS 4129, EN1555, EN ISO15494 standard.

* What's HDPE reducer fittings used for?
A: HDPE reducer is is extensively used for transiting fluid between two different pipe sizes. These fittings are compatible for heat butt fusion with black HDPE pipe or fittings. This HDPE Reducer has concentric design and ensures tight and leak proof connections in the pipelines. Highly suitable for water, industrial or natural gas applications, these reducers are resistant to corrosive chemicals and acids.

* Can SUNPLAST provide both HDPE concentric reducer & HDPE eccentric reducer? What's their main difference?
A: Currently, SUNPLAST can provide HDPE CONCENTRIC REDUCER only.

HDPE Concentric reducer reduces the pipe in the center. So, if you're looking at the reducer head-on, you can see the smaller section is formed in the direct center of the larger side. HDPE Eccentric reducer reduces the pipe to the side. So, if you're looking at the reducer head-on, you can see the smaller section is against one side of the larger side.

* What's the raw material does SUNPLAST use for the HDPE fittings?
A: To assure the best quality of the fittings, SUNPLAST generally adopts the most qualified PE100 materials from the worldwide, and those material are approved by PE100+ association,such as YGH041T from Sinopec, P6006 from Sabic & HE3490-LS from Borealis...etc.

* Which SDR of HDPE fittings shall we use for the HDPE pipe in SDR13.6-PN12.5? Can we use the SDR17 fittings for our SDR13.6 pipe?
A: To guarantee the safety of piping system, the HDPE fittings shall be equal to or higher pressure rating than pipeline. So for HDPE pipe in SDR13.6, you shall take the fittings in SDR13.6 or SDR11. The fittings in SDR17 is not suitable for SDR13.6 pipeline.

* How can SUNPLAST satisfy a fast delivery requirements?
